[philmont] Wait List

Well, our troop finally got the wait list letter on Saturday. #352.
Looks like they cut off the wait list with a low number this year,
it said it was 352 out of something, that I don't remember, but
far smaller than our number on the waitlist last year.

Good thing the crew got a trek. I am curious to see if the troop
ends up getting a trek, 352 is on the outer edge of what the
waitlist has been getting to for the last several years. Now
that 220+ has been reported, and it is still only January, I'd
say we'll likely see it get to over 300 for 2007.

The crew, being smaller, only asked for one crew in their
contingent, and we are allowing the troop to cross-pollinate,
so we already have more than a contingent full.

Crew is 730, which is a very early trek for us, we've always
been 807 or later. Our schools don't get out until June 15
this year, so the early june treks are always problematic for us.

See you at Philmont. I may forego the trek to make room for
the new guys and go to PTC for International week instead.
In any case, I *WILL* be at Philmont one way or another in
2008.
