The PTC Boy Scout program for the kids of that age has changed over the
past few years. A few years back, the Boy Scouts would all be taken out to
Rocky Mountain Scout Camp and they would spend the week there, both day and
night and that was their base of operations for their activities. It was
almost like going to summer camp, except they did not do merit badge
classes.

I am not sure why they changed to the system that they use now where the
kids are returned to their parents for lunch and again at the end of the
day. Perhaps it was difficult to obtain the staff needed to put on the
former type program.
