John,
I got quite a bit out of the week. My course was Scouting Serves the
Jewish Community. There was a different course director than 5 years ago,
and a much better course.
There was much more information about what was happening in the
Relationships Division ( it was terrible news that Don Oblander, the
Relationships Director, passed away the Sunday after). There was a much more
relaxed atmosphere with an open and free exchange of ideas among the
relatively few of us in attendance. We learned of new programs that are
shortly to be available for Jewish Scouting; some of which will assist us in
the formation of new units, especially in the Orthodox community.
All of us (or at least I did) came away with a feeling that we had
exciting things to share with our respective local committees.
