My 8 year old daughter is rather upset.
It seems she gave the patch she was given for the Chicas program to my wife,
who seems to have misplaced it.
We found all the other patches, my son's Boy Scout (nice patch with the TOT
on it), my wife's Family Program (Villa Philmonte), my own PTC patch (the
bull over the PTC logo).
So, does anyone have a chicas patch they don't need, I would sure like to
get a replacement for my daughter.
Regarding the recent comment on the food during relationships week: As I
posted in my summaries, it varied. I would certainly not call the food
"terrible". Yes, the vegetables were consistently way over cooked (and
terrible could apply there). But the breakfasts tended to be fine (well,
mass produced eggs are never all that good), the french toast, pancakes,
etc. were quite good. The fruit bar every morning was also very good. The
lunches and dinners were probably about half good half bad. They tended to
give a choice of two entrees at each meal, so on southern cooking night you
had a choice between Jumbalaya (very good) and fried chicken (so-so), it was
just unfortunately accompanied by fried Okra and black eyed peas (yuck).
Someone mentioned the coyote cantina as an alternate. However, the cantina
was closed at meal times, and most of the time the cantina was open was when
we were in class, so it was rather hard to get to.
