My oldest daughter in North Carolina sent her younger sister a
"congratulations and welcome off the trail" card to her Philmont address.
For some reason it takes a LONG time for mail to reach the rest of the world
from Raleigh, NC. Last month it took 4 weeks. USPS, go figure.
What my comment is about is not the USPS, but Philmont. Yesterday my
daughter received that card which arrived at Philmont after she and I
returned home.
Philmont forwarded it to her via Fed Ex. They didn't have to do that, but
they did it. I'm impressed. The Philmont staff and admin went the extra
mile just as I saw them do all trek when we were there.
