I was too involved with my course and the great time my family was
having to worry too much about the food. The only "problem" food was
some fried chicken that had been cooked a little too long for the
smaller pieces (like the wings) which they rectified mid-meal by getting
replacement chicken patties (which they started cooking when the problem
was discovered) out to those that wanted them. The servings were
adequate the first time through, but there was no problem going back for
seconds. Ever. As far as the lost weight Don experienced, I can
attribute it to one thing I noticed about myself - no snacking,
late-night or otherwise. The ktichen staff we dealt with were nothing
but courteous any time we dealt with them. As far as scarcity of
"kiddie" cereals, I was told that the majority of parents didn't want
sugared-up kids terrorizing them or their couselors, and that they
typically had more adults as for sweetened cereals rather than the
youngin's. Your mileage may vary of course.
