Easier to ship the stoves and tanks out and back via UPS. They require that
the tanks be hot soap and water washed and aired out 24 hours before shipping.
The Phil-postoffice folks held ours to air out, packed, and shipped it for us
(we provided the box, packing and prepaid the shipping) after our trek. Can't
beat that kind of service.

A word of advice.... I shipped the Polar-pur (we take 1 bottle per trekker),
stoves and tanks in as small a box as possible to reduce shipping costs. Got
there after my packing with no damage. Had two stoves with crunched collars
when they were returned. I don't think we can expect the Phil-post folks to
spend inordinate amounts of time repacking stoves for the return, so I would
suggest using a somewhat larger box than you think you need and providing a
little extra padding the for the stoves.

BTW - Coleman shipped replacement collars for both stoves at no cost - they're
both good as new now. :-)
