Larry, here is a better idea.

Use the stuff sack which came with your bag.

Buy two 3/4" straps at your local outfitter.

Run them around your stuff sack (with the sleeping bag in it) lengthwise.

Now crank down on them. With a little practice, you can take your bag to
3/4 the size it started out.

Best yet, the straps cost $1.99 per pair and weigh next to nothing
compared to a compression bag.

You also have a piece of gear which may have other uses once in camp, or
for emergencies.

(I also put two straps around the bag, but didn't gain that much)
