I have many friends from south of the border that would disagree with you.
They come here for good Mexican food with some spice in it. That is what we
call TEX MEX. Having lived in Mexico for some time in the 1970s I can say
there is few foods made with fewer spices than authentic Mexican food from
Mexico. It is very bland and must be spiced up with peppers (chilies to the
experts).
