Some of us would be interested in the GPS data. Are you will to share
it with us? I am sure that we can find a place to host it.

Bill,

The route was as good a trail as any. We didn't have any trouble
finding it. You hang a right at Shaeffer's Pass and go a ways. After a
while you come to a barrel on the left of the trail (is this Shaeffer's
Spring??) and a trail branches off to the right again. After that you
are pretty much home free to the top of the mountain. We questioned out
location a couple of times, but checking the map put us right where we
were supposed to be. At the top of the mountain there is a fork. I
don't recall where the other trail goes, as this was the time the storm
was moving in and I was anxious to get the crew off the top of the
mountain.

The way down is a good trail, though slippery when wet. I think the map
shows 7 switch back of about a kilometer each. There were more than 7,
though I don't recall how many (and I haven't downloaded my GPS data
yet). The switchbacks are relatively steep.

The alternative to going over the mountain is to go around and up the
river. I think this has something like 54 stream crossings. Being from
AZ, we avoid such things when possible;-).
