I like the 60" tall army surplus duffle bags. About $30. You can put a lot

Hi,
 
I was wondering if anyone had any clever ideas regarding packaging up full
backpacks for airline flights? We are looking into large mail bags but this
may not work out. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
