There were a number of solutions used by our contingent (114 of us)
this year:
One was a $10 30" x 43" nylon stuff sack from Campmor that probably 30+ of
us used.

Another bunch found large duffle bags that worked fine.
One crew got a couple of rolls of the 'shrink wrap' and used that to cover
their packs.
And there of course was the plastic bag and tape approach in various
flavors.
