Just to add to the list of what to put the packs in. Our group just
returned and actually a couple members (my husband included) used suitcases!
Yes, the internal frame pack does fit into a suitcase. My husband took out
some stuff and filled in the sides of the suitcase. Everything fit except
his trekking poles which he added to my son's hockey equipment bag. His
large external frame pack fit perfectly into the hockey bag. Interestingly
though the padlock he used to close it was removed and not returned after he
had checked it in. They must be checking baggage behind the scenes also.
Have a great trip,
Merrie
