One thing I wished they'd do is include Gatorade in each meal. I made that
suggestion on my comment form and maybe if enough of us do so that
change will be implemented in the future.<<
Oh no! Not MORE Gaterade to deal with!
My unit had two crews at the ranch in 2001 and we're using 2002
Phil food for our warmups this year for three crews with short treks
in August.
In 2001 I think dinners DID have gatorade and we ended up with
leftover packets at EVERY meal. Some get diluted and split between
folks, some folks don't want that much pure suger, etc. (My
luxury item is packets of Crystal Light lemonade powder as a
substitute to still provide salts, etc.) Anyway, in 2001 after
several days we would have a 4-man food bag filled with leftover
Gatorade packets.
With the 2002 means, wIth two Gatorade packs in each two-man
breakfast and lunch our crews still have Gaterade packets left
over from these meals. Some then get used for suppers but we
still end up with extra's every day.
A good compromise in my opinion would be to include just ONE
Gatorade packet in each two-man pack (including dinners).
But maybe that's not enough for SOME crews... (Hey, wait
a minute.... in this post Wayne, you said you wanted
Gatorade ADDED to supper packets but in another post you
said your crews STRIPPED Gatorade from breakfasts when
you were repackageing meals... so why didn't you just move
some Gatorade's into your supper bags?)
