According to this news article

http://www.taosnews.com/db/Daily.php3#1587

It is only a voluntary evacuation of the Taos Pueblo Native Americain
Reservation. This fire is a long ways from Philmont. It will not be any
immedaite concern for them. The news article reports it only being 750-1000
acres. The Philmont fire in 2002 (Ponil Complex Fire) was 90,000 acres in
comparison.
