[Philmont]: Over already! Thanks

We did not have a Philmont trek this year, but I am proud to say two of our
children are working at Philmont this summer. My wife and I just returned
from Philmont after visiting Bonnie (trading post) and Jack (cons - work
crew).

Philmont is popping with crews coming and going. It was quite different
being a visitor rather than a participant. It was entertaining watching the
crews and crew members in basecamp...some were just arriving and going
through orientation with there rangers. Others were fresh off the trail and
acting like old pros.

Be sure to attend the closing campfire. There is a video of Philmont
through the years. It was quite moving.

As we sat outside the snack bar by the trading post, I could not help but to
reflect on the three crews my wife and I brought to Philmont and how the
crew members matured during their trek. It is truly a magical experience!

Since our first trek was in 1994, we are now seeing many of our original
crew at weddings. It is heartwarming to have these young adults reminisce
about their experiences on the trail.

Life is great! Be sure to share it with your children!
