Re: [Philmont]: Sage Advise

You know years ago someone once told me that the motto of the US Army
Corps of Engineers was ³Improvise, Adapt and Overcome.² I donıt know if
thatıs true or not and I really donıt care. After a few high adventure
trips I decided that itıs good advice for anyone. Itıs also a bit less
harsh than ³deal with it² when you say it to a teenager :P (Sorry John, had
to) though it means the same thing.

Now, flash forward from that high adventure trip twenty years. The person
who learned that lesson early in life will be doing well at whatever they
have chosen to do. I donıt care what it is that theyıre doing one of the
big buzz words in leadership and business right now is ³change management²
which basically means ³how well can you improvise, adapt and overcome?²
Itıs whatıs driving the ³new economy² and I guarentee that behind just about
every successful company, behind just about every successful film studio,
and behind just about every successful country even, there is a former kid
who was a scout.

Okay before I get too much on a rant, Iıll stop now.

Cheers

Mike
