RE: [Philmont]: Train schedules for 2003

Leaving Raton to LA (train from Chicago) July 26 train was two hours late
arriving into Raton from Chicago, and two hours late into LA - I was told

Took the Southwest Chief on July 5th to the PTC. Left on time, arrived on
time. Came back on July12th. The train was one hour late coming into Raton
and arrived in Chicago one hour late. Amtrak had one equipment delay in
Kansas on the way back but made the lost time up. Unfortunately Amtrak could
not make up the hour they lost west of Raton.

Our crew leaves for Philmont tomorrow morning. Has anyone traveled to
Raton via the Southwest Chief out of Chicago this summer? What type of
delays did you encounter?
