This was my first time to Philmont and I now know what everyone is talking
about and what it means to climb Trail Peak and Mount Phillips on the with full
backpacks. I must be insane at age 52. I'd do it again.
Bob,
In 2002 one of the medical personnel in the Health Lodge at Philmont told me
that there was a 75 year old advisor on the trail. If you're in good health
and physical condition there's no reason why you shouldn't do it again. If all
goes well, I'll be on the trail in 2005 at the age of 63.
