"sister crews" are simply 2 crews that are hiking on the same trek at the same time. If you have two crews with different interests, they would likely submit requests for different treks and end up seeing each other at base camp on day 1 and 12 only (with possible paths crossing during their treks). No pressure to hike the same trek.

Subject: [Philmont]: Sister Crews
I've read several posts that alluded to "sister crews." My troop has 2 crews for 2005. Each crew has different interests and physical abilities. Is there a formal sister crew policy and will my crews be required (or
encouraged) to hike in a sister crew arrangement?
