RE: [Philmont]: cold weather gear

In addition to a fleece jacket, layered with raingear when needed, I had a
fleece hat and lightweight fleece gloves. We were there in June 2003, also
in the south part of the ranch, and needed both fleece and raingear for the
first week! The gloves were a real luxury, and I was very glad to have
them. I was the only one who brought them, but the other 11 crew members
were sure eyeing them up on occasion! Sometimes if your hands and head are
warm, you find you can do without the jacket, but I'd bring it anyway.

Enjoy!
