We just got back from Philmont and, boy, I was glad I had my fleece. The
ranger said we didn't need it, but right after he told us that, we went to
the opening campfire and the temperature dropped to the 40s.
Other reasons to take fleece - if you climb Baldy or Phillips or another
mountain, the temperature can be cold.
- if you visit any of the mines, the temperature will be in the 40s.
Fleece is a great invention - it is warm, and light, and stays warm if wet.
This should not be a debated item of equipment.
Thanks,
Scott Sibley
