[Philmont]: Branding (was leather gloves)

Just a thought - when last I branded footwear, I wanted to have a mental crutch to help me remember which brand is the horse brand and which is the cattle brand. I don't ride a horse very often, but I knew that I'd be able to remember that one mounts a horse from its left side, swinging your right foot over the horse ... so I put the horse brand on right shoe, cattle brand on left shoe. Horse foot goes up over the horse, cow foot stays down in the cow pie....
