Our Ranger said we did not have to carry them. If you did filter water you still are recomended to polar pure it.
As some of you will remember me from the list, I feel compiled to explain why I'm not at Philmont right now. My wife has been ill with an, as of now, undiagnosed aliment. I traveled by van and crew cab truck for two days with my crew to Philmont hoping she would get better. She did not and after we arrived on Monday I made the very hard choice to head back home via Colorado Springs for a two hour flight home. This proves my forsight of having three advisors on the crew because they are okay without me there. I promised my son, who is there treking right now that I would try to get the two of us there together next summer or the summer after. Maybe an Order of the Arrow Trail Crew? Or Council Contingency?
