Take on old pair of sneakers/tennis shoes/running shoes, something
comfortable that will smash flat in your pack. I took an old pair of
Converse All-Star high-tops (Chuck Taylors) in 2002 and they were
perfect. Also were just what I needed for rock climbing at 'Cito--good
soft rubber sole for traction. I need all the ankle support I can get,
so high-tops are my choice for camp shoes.

Going to Philmont in 13 days. Still don't know what camp shoes might be
the best. Any suggestions? My budget is about shot with equiping 2 boys
and myself. Weight and space is an issue. Durability I know is also a
necessity. Aqua shoes are light and compactible, low cost, but are they
feasible walking around the camp? Several boys also are trying to
decide what to bring. Thanks for any input.
