Doc,
I am pleased to report the new trail up to Trail Peak has a very reasonable
grade to it. Several of my scouts worked on this trail in 1999 and 2000. Our
crew used it in 2001, and it was very reasonable. However, we only used it on
the way down, as the boys chose to do the old trail, straight up the
mountain. Your assesment is correct, it was very steep, with lots of loose rock.
There is quite a bit of airplane components along the steep trail you will miss
on the new trail.

I used to a Bobwhite...SR-357, and then a Staffer...SR-439, SR-613
Remember : We are in this program for the boys.......let them lead
