Re: [Philmont]: Mail from Back Country

Myself and a fellow advisor sent out a postcard from the trail almost every
day in 2002. Of course, some of these cards arrived AFTER we had returned
home, but it was the thought that counted. We used a variety of methods,
the main one being leaving the postcard at a staffed camp. When we
encountered rangers returning to base camp along the trail, we asked if
they would mail them for us. Of course, the answer was always yes <g>.
Plan to do the same thing this year (yikes, only 4 MORE days until we
leave!). YIS. Mike (2002 and 2004).

We could send out snail mail from all the camps which had ranger cabins.
It may take a day or so to reach headquarters and then several more
days to reach the intended recipients.
