RE: [Philmont]: Cons this year?

When we were at logistics, they told us where the Conservation Projects
were, and gave some general advice (better to do it early, in case it gets
cut short and you need to make up time later; better to do it at this
location where you have a 2 day layover; etc.) However, there was no
requirement to designate where and when we would do it.

There are four (I think) locations to do conservation projects. So you will
not be able to choose to do it on day one or two. You will do it when you
are near the project sites.

As a fall back, if you can't complete conservation at a designated location,
they said that "every staffed camp" has a list of projects that you could
take on. I think the main purpose of this is if you miss out on the
designated project locations, you can still complete the requirements and
earn the patch.

Thanks,
Scott Sibley
