Trek 2 questions:

1) We did our conservation project @ Indian Writings. We hiked about 1.5-2
miles up the road to the straw bailes on the side left. We did 2 hours of
lecture & 1 hour of work on the mountain with Gordon. He was a great speaker &
brought fire lecture to an interesting affair. The adults seeded the mountain with
a spreader & the kids raked the dirt around. It was fun.

2) Upper clarks fork we got our water from Clarks fork. 30 minute walk. We
arrived in the mid-afternoon. Dumped H2O in our cook pots premeasured so we
could cook a dinner for breakfast the following day. When we went down to the
advisores coffee & Big staff show we took our bottles to top off again. I had my
crew bring 8 Qt capacity. Soft nalgenes to save space. We could have done well
to with 6 Qt capacity. I like to take the extra margin. Especially for the
Adults & big kids.
Webster Park had a spring on top with a rubber tube feeding into a blue
55 gallon plastic drum. Plenty of H20.Deer Lake had lots of H20 in the great
lake but harder to get to, because of the 20-30 yards of grasses growing on the
perimiter of the lake- You can try though. We cameled up @ Harlan so we really
didn't need a filler-up. We also stayed at Harlan till the afternoon since
Deer Lake was unstaffed. Great place. The kids were hearding the steers around
the lake!.
Shaffer's Pass I heard the spring was slow running. I never saw it
because we cameled up. No need.

3) Fuel: We were a crew of 8 with 2 MSR stoves. We carried 4 pint bottles of
fuel & only used them for dinners. 1 time we used 1/2 a bottle to stoke the
hot water iron heater at Sawmill to get hot water for the showers. 300 gal tank.
We did refuel at ponil & Ute Com. Cost?? 1-2$.

4) Yes Chuckwagon @ clarks fork.Only dinner. Make sure you stop by on the way
to Upper C F to make sure your signed up. @ Lodgistics you can also sign for
horse rides. 2 hrs. Chuckwagon here was great.. don't miss it plus the night
activities. some talented staffers.

5) Ponil, we were there July 4th & all the rangelers were in town rodeo. so
we did not do horses at ponil, but you can sign a 2nd ride at clarks fork.

6) Our last cooked meal was at upper clarks fork for breakfast--thats the H20
we put aside before PM activities @ clarks fork. We could have had a dinner
at the tooth because my guys carried almost 8 qts. We dumped about 4-8 Qts
before leaving Tof T camp. If you use roaster bags clean-up is zip.

7) We carried 7-8 Qts of H20 from Upper clarks Plenty of H20.

We really enjoyed our whole trek. Lots of activities!.The staffers were
great. My favorite was Toby at Sawmill. He was the best host I have had for a
long time & the advisors coffee was great with the rocker swing overlooking the
sawmill valley & the secret 8 degree porch tilt making it one of the most
relaxing times i have ever had!
