Upon further reflection, the Ponil Cantina also sold some assorted nuts
(peanuts, I think).

Pholks,
Please tell me about Philmont's backcountry trading posts, and the
Cantina at Ponil.
I understand that the trading posts are located at same places as
commissaries; they sell film, batteries, postcards, stamps, replacement
items like tent stakes, etc; and food items are limited - trail mix but
no "junk food".
What is available at the Ponil Cantina, and what does it cost?
Would $20 for a Scout to take into the backcountry be an appropriate
amount?
