[Philmont]: cost of PHILMONT trek and tour from east coast??

I'm just curious ---- what is the approx. cost of going to PHILMONT from
the east Coast and also doing a tour of the western states???? Please
include all costs - food, travel, tour, motel, etc. if possible.

I am one of the Asst. Scoutmasters for a jamboree troop from my council, and
We have parents here just shocked of the cost of attending the National
Jamboree and doing a tour (total of a 3 week trip). WE had hoped to fill 5
troops..................

A trip to Philmont from San Diego is pretty cheap, compared to Flying to
Virginia. My son went ot the Jamboree in 2001 and has said it was the BEST
scout trip of his life, even better than Philmont.
