This is a portion of an e-mail received Sunday from one of our two guys
employed as Philmont Rangers. Written at 2 p.m. Mountain time. If you
are leaving for Philmont soon, rain gear will be important.

The weather here has been awful, unless you live in Seattle. It's rained
just about every day the past week. Trails are soggy, roads are even
muddier, and it's a big chore to get things done when it's raining. Right
now, it's about 60 degrees, cloudy, and gloomy. I'm ready for the sun to
come back out! The one positive about the rain is that it allows for lots
of time for reading and napping, of which I tend to take full advantage.

Sounds like the monsoon has set in!
