Leave bright and early Saturday morning with Tom Wills, accompanying Patriots' Path's eight 711D crews as contingent coordinators. Expect to be in the vicinity of the Welcome Center all morning on Monday, and in the vicinity of the Health Lodge most of the afternoon. If you are in Base Camp, stop by and say hello - you can't miss the distinctive black council strip with "Philmont" in red and a yellow zia for the "o".
Though with 16 council crews (the eight 630L crews come off the trail Monday), there will be a lot of them around.
Going to be a little strange being in Camping Headquarters but not getting ready to head to the backcountry. But it is raising my anticipation for next year's Autumn Adventure.
