One of our crews last year had 6 and if I remember correctly, they had a couple of dry camps. So you need to be prepared for that. Even if you have a camp that is supposed to have water (staff camps being the exception), if the pump at a non-staffed camp goes bad, it could be a few days before they get it repaired, and could result in that camp being declared a dry camp by logistics. That's what happened to our crew on #6 last year, their first camp was supposed to have a broken pump, setting them up for 2 dry camps in a row. As with everything, there's a yin for every yan, and sure enough, after lugging an entire days' extra water on top of the 2nd day's water, the pump was back up and running when they landed in camp.

What's the weather like now? We are coming from 10 days at summer camp in mid-Missouri where it was mid-90s and 60-70% humidity. Some of our boys are balking at the fleece jacket recommendation. Thanks much

Hi all --
Has anyone completed Trek #6? We hit the trail on 7/24 and would appreciate any comments, especially with respect to water and insects.
