[Philmont]: Philmont Weather - Philmont Trek #6 Comments

A great weather website is www.srh.noaa.gov . Click on the map to get a pretty accurate forcast for the area of interest (not just Philmont). Also good radar and graphs. Surprising a government site is so useful? I watched a storm just sit over the south country all day on the radar... bored at work... I bet that made the hike up the North Fork Urraca to Black Mountain fun...

I've carried a fleece pullover shirt in 2000 & 2002 and used it almost every evening - especially at staff camp campfires. It's in the pack now waiting for next week.

Only 9 more days!!!

What's the weather like now? We are coming from 10 days at summer camp in mid-Missouri where it was mid-90s and 60-70% humidity. Some of our boys are balking at the fleece jacket recommendation. Thanks much
