This was our experience, too, on trek 6 last year. Only had to pump and
purify water at North Fork Urraca. We had a 6/26 start date last year, with
near-perfect weather. It only rained once during the day, but only after
we'd reached our campsite for the day. I thought 6 was a great trek.

We just returned from Trek 6 on 7-5. We only used the Micro-pur tablets the
last day at N. Fork Urracca. We ate dinners for lunch a couple of days and
then ate lunch in the trail camps with the water we carried. Never had to
use our extra water bags and haul pounds of water. We wore fllece shirts
every night and most mornings, frost only one morining in a meadow - but
things can change. Each person should bring a 1 or 2 oz pump bottle of 100%
deet, skeeters were terrible some days at dusk but they seemed to be dying
out. Bad at Clear Creek and Porcupine for awhile but we really didn't use
much of the stuff - glad we had it

What's the weather like now? We are coming from 10 days at summer camp in
mid-Missouri where it was mid-90s and 60-70% humidity. Some of our boys are
balking at the fleece jacket recommendation. Thanks much

Hi all --
Has anyone completed Trek #6? We hit the trail on 7/24 and would appreciate
any comments, especially with respect to water and insects.
