[Philmont]: Over the height & weight limit for a scout

Hi:
The Philmont medical staff is serious about enforcing the maximum weight limits. Last summer I spent some time in the medical shack (after being thrown off a horse at Beaubien, watch out for the big bay named Spike). A Scout from Chicago was sent home for being above the maximum weight limits. He was a big stocky football player and looked like he could have carried a 100 pound pack with ease. The head of the medical staff spent a lot of time on the phone talking to the Scouts mom. But the Scout was unfortunately sent home. The crew leaders should have worked the problem before the Scout arrived at Philmont.

Best regards,
Mick Meyer
