Re: [Philmont]: Ground cloth inside the tent

In the book Basic Essentials Camping (which I see in almost every
council scoutshop I visit) Cliff Jacobson gives about as good an
exposition on the inside plastic (or as we're coming to use, the inside
Tyvek) being the far superior idea. (Also see Amazon -
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/104-6704548-5855132
) Basicially it comes down to do you want to have a secure tent floor or
safe and secure campers. With our backpacking tents the "footprint"
that fits the tent probably adds 6 ounces and the interior plastic adds
10 to 12 more.
