oh, on the tyvek, you do not have to sew a seam around the foot print or
what ever you are using it for. I tried to fray or rip it to see if it
would hold up. I was not able to mess up the edges.

Subject: [Philmont]: Three quick questions

Philmonters....

1. Re-visiting the topic of camp shoes. Would "water socks" make good camp
shoes? They're certainly lightweight and pack small. I'm wondering about
wearing them around camp for several hours and how one's feet would be at
the end of the day.

2. Tyvek ground sheets. Someone mentioned washing the sheets in a clothes
washing machine to soften them and make them less likely to "rattle" in the
wind. In washing them, should I add soap or just use water by itself?

3. Someone on this list server (I think) listed four items that were of the
utmost importance to keep in the first aid kit. Butt Paste was one of them,
along with moleskin and a couple other items. I lost the post someplace.
Our first aid kit is fully stocked. I'm not concerned about it, but this
particular post listed a couple items that came highly recommended (Butt
Paste, in particular) so I wanted to look into them (so to speak). Would
the author please re-post that information? Thanks!
