RE: [Philmont]: Three quick questions

Camp shoes:
I will bring sneakers. The difference in weight is small.
I find sandals very uncomfortable and, unless close toed, not recommended
anyway.
I find the soft soles of mocs and watershoes also uncomfortable.
Sneakers give you a back up to your boots, especially if they get wet and
need some time to dry.
Some people find sneakers give their feet no less relief than keeping the
boots on. That is not a problem for me.
