Thought I would mention a few items for those still going.
Mosquitoes: They were annoying, but not bad. We were told they would be
awful, but not so.
Weather: Warm. I have never seen it so warm. Missed the cold.
LNT: Mark said it would be covered by Ranger, but that didn't happen.
Campfires: Stomp was great, but no other opportunities. Skipped Clarks Fork
for an early (5 am when we could see!!) departure from Ponderosa.
Other: Actually had an advisor recommend skipping to Tooth Camp instead of
Ponderosa. We refused. We did know of 2 or 3 crews that did it. This is a
real problem, and Philmont will have to put a Ranger/Administrator at Shaeffers
to check each crew's "Life" to stop it.
More later.
