I returned Monday July 10 from completing trek 11. It rained 9 out of 11
days with long showers during several different nights. Had purified water
available every day and did not use very many of the micropur tablets. We
did the cons work at Apache Springs on our layover day (trail building). We
use the individual container method of rehrydrating suppers and used 2 of
the Jet Boil Group Cooking systems. They were simple to use and worked
great with no problems. Everything except spare fuel canisters fits into
the 1.5 liter pot. The GCS has a 1.5 liter pot and we filled it to about
1.25 liters. Some suppers we got by with 2 pots, most we needed to boil 2
pots on each stove. We had 9 suppers and boiled water for breakfast, hot
drinks and coffee 5 mornings. We used 6 of the 3.5 oz fuel canisters.
