[philmont] blisters

It turns out that hose is offered in a "just cover the foot" size. So if
the
manufacturer could offer something in a gender friendly color for the guys
it could be offered to the Boy Scout hiking crowd.

It's good this thread has gone on because, as noted in an earlier thread,
getting your feet taken care of in a hike is easily in the top 5 items you -
must - successfully address if you are to enjoy the Philmont challenge.

I read just the other day about a sports shoe that will have an embedded
microprocessor and actuators that will sense the kind of pounding the
foot is taking and will adjust the shape and fit of the shoe - while
walking!

What will they think of next?! :-)
