Any backcountry creek with enough water to hold fish will be better
fishing than Fish Camp simply because Fish Camp receives so much
fishing pressure. I have found the beaver ponds to be the most
productive places to fish and they hold bigger fish than the creeks.
For a trout fisherman, Philmont is a frustrating place to hike because
you pass so much good trout water and have so little time to fish.
Good luck.
