[Philmont] Mileage and routes

I am set for trek 24 on 731.

I have been mapping the campsites on my Philmont Topo map while trying to
utilize the Philsearch routes.

I cannot find any route from one camp to the other on Philsearch. Am I not
seeing something? There are lots of routes but since I have never been to
Philmont maybe I am missing out on the terminology. If I want to go Beaubien
to Scheaffers pass, for example. there are a lot of routes but none to
Scheaffers Pass.

Another question is when the mileage indicates mileage is it trail miles or
bird miles?
