I remember from our 05 trek that there were a few times we used the shovels while on the trail...

rely on tent stakes. I was inquiring not to determine what type of
latrine was present at a particular camp, but if there was a latrine
of any type at the camps we will be passing through or camping in. If
most or all of the camps have some sort of latrine, we will likely
leave our shovel(s) at base camp.
