[Philmont] Beginnings

Scott, here's the basic story.....
 
Step one - find a group of well motivated kids
Step two - sign up for a council contigent, otherwise you have to hope for a
crew slot.
Step three - Ask Cooper for a copy of his Phil guide, and follow it.

Step four - give the kids the tools they need, and help them prepare for
backpacking trips.
Step five - get out of their way, and have fun watching them learn.
Step six - go to Philmont and have fun
Step seven - After the trek, get the crew to start helping others enjoy
Philmont.
