Back recently on 628-A, Trek # 31. Many highlights. But ranking right up
at the top is an (unexpected) encounter with a friend on the List, and
otherwise. Have been following "Dr. Bob" (Bob Klein, Troop 111, Arlington,
VA) for many years but never met in person. It was a very special moment
for us. Saw him at the CHQ cafeteria, babbling on to a Staff Ranger about
Philmont info on the Web. He's just as awesome as the List lore would
expect, and doing great. Dr. Bob is really a true Boy Scout backpacking
veteran carrying on the mission.
Anyone else meet anyone on the List at Philmont?
