[Philmont] Car rental in Cimmarron

I am pretty sure - not positive - that there are no car rental outlets
in Cimarron or any nearby locale. Call the Chamber of Commerce if you
wish to get a definitive statement: 505/376-2417.

As a suggestion that will probably be made several times, your leader
can try to hook up with a Contingent or Crew that is flying out of
Albuquerque. Multiple Philmont groups fly out of Albuquerque and Denver
virtually every day, and many have extra seats. PTC folks are another
possible source of an extra seat. I have had folks ask me if I had a
spare seat on several of my trips to Philmont, including 3 days ago when
a leader wanted help in getting a Scout to Denver by noon (we were
unable to help in this case, because we weren't scheduled to get to the
airport til 1:45 pm).

If all else fails, he can probably take the Philmont shuttle to Raton,
and get a car there. Call Philmont for info on the shuttle: 505/376-2281.
