[Philmont] Pack weight

Thought I would add my 2 cents:

When returned a couple weeks back from 623-M-1, Itinerary 9 and while there
are no pack weight police, the 30% suggestion is a good one.

My son weighs about 90 lbs soaking wet, is not the athletic type and had
problems with an overweight pack. He tried to carry a pack that weighed 42
pounds and it gave him big time trouble. When weight was removed from his
pack, he felt like a weak link in the team. Not to mention that as a picky
eater he was constantly low on energy!

A suggestion here is, as advisors, it's job to monitor this ratio and to
know what our crew members capabilities are.
